The story of Gideon and in Judges 6-8 is inspiring. God tells Gideon two times, “I am with you!” (6:13,16). We have the same assurance in Christ. Are we living with peace, assurance, confidence, and joy because the Lord is with us? God says to Gideon, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.” Have you received these encouraging words from Christ? Jesus says the same thing to His followers.
