Guidelines for Worship

The elders met last evening and here is the plan if all continues as is. Plans are subject to change because somethings are out of our hands.

For the last two Sundays in June we will do assembly as we have the past two weeks. Beginning July 5 we will start using others in our assembly time....song leaders (hallelujah), elder's prayer (Amen), and maybe more.

Beginning July 1 we will have midweek Bible Classes at 7pm. there will be an adult class in the auditorium and the children will gather in the chapel and outside. If you want to meet with one or two people during this time for study or prayer or if you want to offer another class option you are welcome to do so. The adult class for July and August in the auditorium will be a study of Characteristics of Those Who Live Christ. It will be taught by different men. Please let Dick know if you are willing to teach one night. If you would like to work with the children please let Dick or Tim know.

If all goes well, beginning August 2 will we begin having Sunday morning Bible Classes. Classes will be at 9am and the assembly will be at 10am.

Lord willing, we will begin our Wednesday evening meal on September 2. We already have a cook for that night. Our times will change to meal at 6pm and classes at 6:45. We are excited to begin getting back to "normal".

Guidelines for Sunday morning assembly:

Some of the Philo Road Church family will be gathering at the building beginning Sunday, June 7, 2020.  Here are some guidelines for this gathering.

​

• Please bring your own, hand sanitizer, face mask, & Bible.

• People in households will sit together and the rest of us will sit 6 feet apart from each other.

• We will enter the building on the north side and walk down the hall in one direction.  

• We will exit the building out the east door of the auditorium.

• If a rest room is needed during out time together we ask that only one person at a time use the restroom.  Please exit the auditorium through the east door and come back in the middle door close to the restrooms.

• There will be communion supplies in the seats.

• There will be collection plates at the entrance and the exit of the auditorium.  

• The format will be as it has been for the past three months.  The length of the service will be about 40 minutes.

• We will sing only three or four songs and we ask that you wear a facemask during the singing.  

• If you are feeling ill, have a fever, please stay home and participate on the internet.

• If you have health issues that  make you high risk, please stay home and participate on the internet.

• We ask that you refrain from handshaking and hugging.  

• The water fountains will be turned off.  If needed please bring a bottle of water for your own use.

• At this time there will be no Bible classes, nursery, or Bible Times.  We will have an assembly only.

• For the time being we will meet at 9am.
